Congratulations to our Junior Football team, and Joint-Managers Martin Beirne and Martin Travers, on completing their Division Four League campaign with 10 wins from 10 games thanks to a 1-15 to 1-5 win over Ballinameen. Yet again this was a good team performance with some very well worked scores and excellent defending. Man of the Match Shane Beirne was well assisted by John Sweeney, Gerry Cregg, Dillon Beirne and Ronan Beirne. The Gavin Lee Memorial Cup was accepted by Team Captain Darren Lee.
Congratulations to our Scór na nÓg Question Team team of Emmet Keane, Conor Gunn, Evan Gunn and Luke Gunn who had an excellent 20 point win over Boyle and two teams from St. Dominics. They have now qualified for the All-Ireland Final in Killarney. Well done to Solo Singer Sarah Keane and our Set Dancing Team also did the Club proud and were unlucky to miss out on honours. Our Annual General Meeting took place on Friday in the Clubrooms and outgoing Chairperson Coman Brady gave an extensive review of the Club's activities. Coman has stepped down from the Executive after 10 years in various roles and the Club wishes to thank him for all his hard work. The following Officers were elected: Chairperson, Sean Lenehan, Vice Chairperson, Martin Travers; Secretary, Una Killoran; Assistant Secretary & Registrar, Geraldine O'Connor; Treasurer, Peter Scott; Assistant Treasurer / Lotto Co-ordinator, Jim Keane; PRO Colm Beirne; Coaching Officer, Ignatius Geraghty; Minor Committee Chairperson, Jim McLoughlin, Minor Committee Secretary, Tamara Beirne. Committee Members: Gerry Beirne, Jason Carney and Gordon Murray. A number of positions, including Children's Officer and Health and Wellbeing Officer, will be appointed by the Executive. Anyone with an interest in either of these roles can contact Una Killoran for further details. The U21s take on Tulsk in the County Semi-Final Final on Sunday at 2pm in Tulsk and your support would be appreciated. There was no winner of Saturday's Club Lotto Jackpot.
