Congratulations to our Leiriu Actors who won the Connacht Scór Sinsear Final on Saturday. They will join our Quiz Team at the All-Ireland Final on Saturday April 2nd in the INEC Killarney. Commiserations to our Set Dancers who narrowly missed out on the title.
Well done to Luke Mollohan who made his debut for the Roscommon Minors in their big win over Mayo last Friday.
The Club won the Roscommon Club Prize of €1,000 in the National GAA Draw. Thank you, once again, to everyone in the locality who bought and sold Tickets.
Best of luck to Austin Kielty and the Roscommon Under 21s in the Connacht Semi-Final on Saturday at 5pm in Sligo.
The Club will be represented in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade by the participants on our ABC programme. We would be very grateful if parents would bring their children to the assembly point at the Fire Station no later than 2:45pm. We’re looking forward to a good turnout with lots of fun for all.
The Juniors host Ballinameen on Saturday at 3pm.
Under 16 Training continues on Wednesday at 6:30pm and the team is due to play Éire Óg on Sunday at 11am
Membership fees are now due and players must renew before they play a match. The rates for 2016 are as follows: Family (Adults and all School-going children) €100, Adult Player €50, Third Level Player €30, Underage player €20 and non-playing Adult €30. The 2016 Club Sponsorship Draw takes place in An Bothar Rua this Saturday from 9:30pm. The winner will get their logo on the front of the Senior Team Jersey, the runner-up will get their name on the back of the Jersey and all participants will be listed on a sign in The Orchard and on-line. Tickets, priced at €100, are available from Peter Scott. There’ll be live music on the night and all are welcome.
There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 1,15,18 and 23. The Lucky Dip winners were Martin Oates, Kilvoy; Vincent Beirne, Convent Road; Michael Donlon, Lucan and Patrick McKeon, Lecarrow. This Weekend’s Jackpot is worth €6,200 and the Draw will take place in An Bothar Rua.
