Club News update May 24th

Well done

Congratulations to Fintan Cregg on receiving the Man of the Match Award in Roscommon’s win over Leitrim on Sunday. He was also nominated for the GAA.ie Player of the Week.

Results and Fixtures

The Juniors have two games this week – away to Shannon Gaels in the League tomorrow (Wednesday) at 8pm and away to Kilglass Gaels B in the Championship on Friday at 8pm.

The Elphin-Ballinameen U-16s are in the process of arranging a challenge match for this Friday, further details will be sent via SMS.

The U-14s enjoyed a 5-6 to 2-5 win over St Dominics in the last game of the League.

The U-12s defeated Castlerea St Kevins by 7-13 to 6-3 in their last game of the Spring League. Some of the highlights from an excellent team performance was the performance of Captain for the day, Evan Murray, who was fantastic throughout; Evan Gunn, who scored 2-2; Ellie Brady scoring 1-3; and John Finnerty and Adam Dwyer who both scored 1-2. There were fine performances from Daniel Christie – who made some crucial saves, Dylan Scott at Full Back, Colin McGrath at Centre back and Jude O’Rouke at Midfield. John Anthony Quinn, Ruth Shanagher, Cameron Oates, James Brennan, Casey Durr, Shane Gormley, Adam Twocock, Dylan Butler (on his 1st game back) and Paddy McTeigue all impressed.

The U-8s are due to play their latest GoGames Blitz away to St Croans on Saturday at 11am and further details will be sent to parents via SMS.

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of last weekend’s Club Lotto Jackpot, the numbers drawn were 2, 13, 28 and 29. The Lucky Dip winners of €25 were John McDermott, Hazelwood Park; Joe Greaney, Dublin; Michael O’Beirne, Castle Street and Tricia Glynn, The Old Post Office. This weekend’s Draw will take place in Olivers and the Jackpot will be €7,200. Play now at locallotto.ie .

Meeting

The May Club Executive Meeting will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at 9:30pm in the Clubrooms.

Day Trip
