Best of luck to Fintan Cregg and the Roscommon Seniors in the Connacht Final on Sunday.

Our Seniors suffered a 1-11 to 2-11 defeat to St Brigids in the League on Saturday.
Last Tuesday they were defeated by Charlestown in the Leo Kenny Cup Semi-Final; 1-12 to 3-13.

Elphin B 1-8 Clann na nGael C 2-4

The Juniors had a narrow win over Clann na nGael in the Championship on Friday. Best for Elphin were David Hynes, Padraig and Brian Neary, Benny Rock and Conor Beirne.

Elphin-Ballinameen Round-up

The Minors are due to play Roscommon Gaels in the Championship on Saturday evening but this is subject to change.
Commiserations to Aaron, Luke and the Roscommon Minors on their defeat to Galway.

The U-16s defeated Kilbride by 1-15 to 3-8 on Saturday evening.We wish Michael Feeley and Aidan Main a speedy recovery and hope to see them back in the Orchard soon. Training continues on Friday at 6:30pm.

The U-14s are away to Oran in the Championship on Thursday at 7:30pm.

The U-12 A team came out on top of an enthralling battle on Saturday in the Orchard Park, defeating St Michaels by 8-8 to 6-3. The teams were evenly matched, with several Titanic battles throughout. Despite being four points down mid way in the second half the team put in a great effort to come back. Best for Elphin-Ballinameen were Adam Twocock, who gave a fantastic display at wing back. Adam Dwyer scoring 5-1 from play, Captain Evan Gunn, ably assisted by Sam & Jude O’Rourke, Daniel Christie, John Finnerty, Colin McGrath, Michael Sharkey, Dylan Scott, Darragh Gilligan, James Brennan, Michael Sharkey, Paddy McTeigue and Evan Murray who played through illness but showed great courage and leadership. The whole group of players (two teams) are developing a great team ethic.

The U-12 Division Six Team make their debut against St Ronans on Friday at 7:30pm in the Orchard. The Division Two team host St Ciarans on Saturday at 12pm.

Thank you to everyone who assisted with the running of the U-10 Blitz on Saturday.

The U-8s will take on Boyle, Strokestown, Castlerea St Kevin’s and Kilmore in the latest Go Games Blitz series on Saturday at 11am in Castlerea.

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 10, 17, 27 and 30. The Lucky Dip winners of €25 were John & Liam Martin, Eva Gormley, John & Joan Neary and Stephen Hughes. The Jackpot is now €7,800 and this week’s Draw will be held in the Tower Inn.
