Condolences

The Club extends its sympathy to the Rock Family, Elphin and Longford town, on the passing of Tom. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Juniors Bow out

Our depleted Junior B Championship team suffered a 2-9 to 3-10 defeat to Roscommon Gaels in the County Semi-Final. Thank you to the players, the joint Managers Martin Beirne and Martin Travers and all involved for their hard work throughout year.

Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up

Best of luck to the Elphin-Ballinameen U20s against Kilmore-Shannon Gaels in the Championship on Sunday at 12pm in Kilmore. A win for the visitors would see them progress to the County Semi-Final. Training continues for home based players on Tuesday at 7pm.

The Elphin-Ballinameen U14s take on Strokestown in the Garda Cup Semi-Final on Saturday at 11am in the Orchard. Your support for these teams would be appreciated.

Well done to Aaron Brady, Enda Killoran and Conor Egan who completed their Roscommon U17 Development Squad campaign with a 1-10 to 0-8 win over Sligo.

Elphin Minor Committee

There was a low attendance at our Minor Committee Annual Meeting last Friday. The business proceeded and the season was reviewed and Officers were nominated for 2017. Jim McLoughlin is set to continue in his role as Chairperson. The Club thanks Tamara Beirne, who stood down from her role as Secretary, for her diligent service over the past five years. We also welcome incoming Secretary Kathleen McCaffrey and wish her well.

Club AGM

The AGM has been rescheduled for Sunday November 27th at 4pm in the Clubrooms. Nomination and Motion Forms are being distributed.

Best of luck to all our representatives in this weekend’s Scór na nÓg Semi-Finals. The first Semi-Final takes place in the Community Centre on Saturday at 7:30pm.
