Club News update April 25th

Adult Football

A late Shane Killoran point secured a share of the spoils for the Seniors against Kilmore on Sunday. It ended Elphin 0-14 Kilmore 2-8; our points coming from Shane Killoran 0-5, Frankie Cregg 0-5, Ronan Beirne, Brian Higgins, Cillian Fox, Fintan Cregg 0-1 each.

The Juniors suffered a 0-9 to 1-10 defeat to St Michaels on Saturday. It was a close game throughout but the visitors got the vital goal near the end to seal the win.

Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up

Despite a spirited display the Elphin-Ballinameen Minors were defeated by Tulsk on a scoreline of 1-9 to 2-15 in their last League game. The team now has a week off to rest and reflect before Championship preparations begin.

Well done to U16 players Shane O’Neill and David Wynne on being selected for the County Squad.

The U14s are away to Kilbride on Thursday at 7pm.

The U12s defeated Western Gaels by 5 scores to 4 (new rule for Spring League). They host St Ciarans on Saturday at 12pm.

Ladies Football

Best of luck to the Elphin-Kilmore U16 Ladies against Shannon Gaels in the County Division 2B Final at 1pm on Monday in the Orchard

Condolences

Elphin GAA Club extends sympathy to the Gormley family, Cummeen, on the passing of Pat Snr and the O’Connor family, Cloonroughan, on the passing of Padraig V. May they rest in peace.

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Jackpot, the numbers drawn were 9, 16, 26 and 28. The Lucky Dip winners of €25 were Francis Carney, Brendan Kelly, Michael McGovern and Francis Brennan. The Jackpot now stands at €12,000 and this weekend’s Draw will be held in Timmys. Entry is just €2 and envelopes are available in local shops or you can play now here.

Gaeltacht Grant Competition

This Friday is the closing date for the Roscommon GAA Gaeltacht Grant Competition. Full details here.

Scór

Anyone interested in a day trip to the All-Ireland Scór Finals in Belfast on May 6th is asked to contact Micheál Gunn ASAP. The cost of the Bus will be approximately €10 per person.
