Elphin GAA Update February 19th

Seniors defeated:

Hard luck to the Seniors who lost out to Clan na nGael on a scoreline of 1.12 – Elphin 1.7. Scorers for Elphin were Frankie Cregg 1-1, Gerry Cregg & Killian Fox (0-2 each), Shane Beirne & Eanna Tiernan (0-1 each).

Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up:

Elphin Ballinameen U 16’s had a good win over St. Michaels on sunday last. Final score was 3-7 to 1-8.

The Minors take on Kilglass/St Barry’s Sunday next in the Orchard at 11am.


The Agility, Balance, Coordination (ABC) programme for 4-7 year olds begins this Friday the 23rd from 6:30 – 7:30pm in the Elphin Community Centre. All children in the parishes are welcome to attend.

Last Man Standing

Friday the 23rd is the final day for entries into the Last Man Standing competition. The Entry fee is €10 and the Last Man or Woman Standing will receive €500. All remaining entries must be brought to Elphin Community Centre on Friday between 6:30 – 7:30pm. Click here for details.

Scór na nÓg

Hard luck to the Scór na nÓg Quiz of Team Emmet Keane, Conor, Luke and Evan Gunn who were representing the club in the All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Final 2018. Well done too the boys on getting to the Final.

Elphin GAA Lotto:

There was no winner of this week’s Club Lotto Jackpot. The Numbers drawn were 4, 12, 19, 21. The Lucky dip winners were Noel & Helen Collins, Gerard (Nipper) McKeon, Ronan Glancy and Aoife Beirne. Next week’s jackpot will be €5,100 and the draw takes place in An Bothar Rua. Entry is just €2, Envelopes are available in local shops or you can play here.
