Elphin/Ballinameen Underage Round-up
The Minors defeated Tulsk on a scoreline of 6-13 to 6-8.
Unfortunately the U16’s were beaten by a much stronger Padraig Pearses team in their championship game.
Elphin Ballinameen U14s played St. Michaels on Tuesday last, winning on a scoreline of 3-14 to 3-7. They lost to Oran in the Championship on a score of 6-13 to 6-8
Fixtures for week ahead:
The U14’s play St. Croans in Enfield on Tuesday next at 7.30 in the second round of the Garda Cup.
The Minors are home to St. Faithleachs on Thursday evening at 8 pm
The U12 Summer League commences on Saturday next with a game away to Castlerea at 12pm. Best of luck to all players and management.
Elphin LGFA
Our U14’s were defeated by a very strong Four Roads side in an away game Sunday evening in round 5 of the championship. The girls put up a good fight and played very well. We were missing many of our usual players and our U12 girls stepped up and togged out for the game. Next match is away to Ballinameen, date and time to be confirmed.
We have extended the clothing collection to 17th August. So you still have time to do that clear out and drop your bags to the Orchard! Thank you to all who have donated clothes so far, it is greatly appreciated.
Club Rossie Members Draw
Congrats to all the winners in last week’s Club Rossie draw and in particular Elphin members, Mary Staunton who won €500 and Mick Nerney who won a voucher for Dundrum Shopping Centre. Thanks to everyone who supported.
