Elphin GAA Update July 29th

The Elphin Ballinameen Minors has a good win over St. Aidans on Thursday evening, beating them by 5-11 to 1-4. Unfortunately the U14’s were defeated by Strokestown on a score of 5-6 to 1-6.
There are no underage fixtures this week.

Adult Football

Well done to the Senior’s on defeating Eire Óg by 2-19 to 1-12 in the O’Gara Cup / Division 2 League. The win confirmed their place in the knock-out stages.

The Juniors have 2 games this week: away to Pearses on Wednesday evening at 8pm and at home to Western Gaels on Friday evening at 8pm in their last league game. Best of luck team and management.

Elphin LGFA:

We hosted this week’s U8 & U10’s Summer Games V Ballinameen in the Orchard Monday evening. Great turnout for both sides. Next games away to Boyle Friday evening.

Our U12 Elphin Kilmore Ladies took part in the Sean Daly Cup in Boyle Saturday where they put on a great performance. Boyle were victorious on the day, taking home the Sean Daly Cup. The first blitz day of the U12’s 7’s takes place Wednesday in Cootehall where our ladies will be facing Shannon Gaels, Boyle and St. Michael’s / St. Ronan’s. First game kicks off at 7pm.

The U14 Championship continues this Tuesday with our ladies playing Padraig Pearses away at 8pm.

Elphin GAA Lotto

No winner of this week’s lotto Jackpot the Numbers Drawn are 12, 15, 28 & 30. The Lucky Dip winners were Oisín O’Connor, Éamon Brady, Jackie & Elizabeth Caslin and J. P. Dobbyn.
