Roscommon GAA launch Gaeltacht Grant Competition

The 2020 Roscommon GAA Gaeltacht Grant Competition is open for entries.

This year there will be three scholarships of €300 with one confined to entrants who have competed in Scór/Scór na nÓg competitions.
All entrants must be members of a GAA club in Co. Roscommon and a secondary School student in 2019/20 school year and successful entrants in 2018/2019 are not eligible to enter in 2020. Please note that Scholarships are for attendance at residential Gaeltacht courses only.

To enter students must complete an entry form (click here to download) and write an essay based on one of the following two titles –

1.“Tá sé in am deireadh a chur leis an gconradh idir CLG agus Sky Sports.” An aontaíonn tú leis an tuairim seo?

2. Toghfar Uachtarán nua ar CLG i mbliana. Caithfidh tusa a chéad óráid mar Uachtarán a scríobh.  Cén óráid a scríobhfaidh tú?   

Entries must be emailed (application form and essay) to the Michael Gunn, the Roscommon GAA Cultural Officer at [email protected] or dropped in/posted to the Roscommon GAA Offices, Astor Building, St Ciarans Road, Roscommon to arrive by Friday February 14th, 2020.

There is no cash alternative to the scholarship and successful candidates will have to complete a residential Gaeltacht summer course in order to receive the grant. The decision of the awarding committee is final.
