Well done to the 25 U11 Elphin/Ballinameen players who travelled to Galway for the Darragh Frain tournament on Saturday, congratulations to all on winning the shield and to Senan Burke who won man of the match in the shield final.

Elphin/Ballinameen Underage Round-Up
The Minor Team contested Round 3 against Boyle. Elphin/Ballinameen registered the first two scores, before Boyle levelled the game in the 10th Minute. Elphin/Ballinamen’s next three points all from play, with a third from Boyle in the 20th Minute. The first goal of the game came off a Dean Casey free which landed in the vicinity of the small square and deflected off a defender. Point each was exchanged before half time.

Boyle made a bright start to the second registering 1-02 in the first three minutes to level the game. Elphin/Ballinameen kept their composure and their first score came from play by full forward Kielty. The remained of the game saw the spoils shared at 6 points to 4.

Hard luck to our U16 team who lost out to Padraig Pearses in the final round of the championship. Well done to our Division 4 U14 team who had a good win over Western Gaels and have qualified for the quarterfinals of the championship.
