Huge congratulations and well done to the Rounders U13 Community Games boys and girls teams who participated in the Cairn Community Games All Ireland Final on Sunday in Carlow. A fantastic group of children who played their hearts out.
The girls finished their game against a strong batting team of Clare with a home run securing them a bronze medal. Well done girls – a real team effort.
The team: Cara Caufield, Abaigeal Travers, Jodie Higgins, Chloe Conry, Sarah Gormley, Lote Putnina, Rose O Dowd, Kaelyn Farrell, Lorna Leonard, Laoise Higgins and Ella Scott.
The boys played the reigning champions of the last 3 years Limerick in their final. The boys played with determination and excellent skill was on show. They beat Limerick to secure themselves a gold medal.
