Congratulations to our Elphin/Ballinameen U13 team on their impressive victory over St Michaels/Ronan’s in the Shane Beirne Shield Final on Wednesday evening. The first half was a tightly contested one, with both sides trading scores and going in level at 1-7 apiece at halftime. After the break, our boys stepped up a gear. Goals from Stephen Watters, Senan Burke and a well-taken penalty by Tommy Brady gave us a commanding lead. Despite a determined fightback from St Michaels/Ronan’s, our lads held firm to secure a memorable win.

Championship Time!
It’s a busy week for the Elphin/Ballinameen Underage teams: the U16s were defeated by Boyle on Monday evening, the minors will play St Aidan’s in the Orchard on Tuesday evening, and the U14s play St Aidan’s on Thursday evening in St Aidan’s—best of luck to all the teams and managements over the coming weeks.
Wins Galore for Rounders Teams
Our Rounders teams enjoyed a very successful day on Sunday last in the Orchard. First up were our ladies who had a hard-fought draw against St Kieran’s of Limerick. Then it was the turn of the men’s team finishing their season with a win over Sporting Limerick. Next up stepped the mixed team who finished their season with a win against Sporting Limerick. The ladies rounded off a brilliant day in the Orchard by beating Sporting Limerick and topping their group. They now progress to the All-Ireland quarter finals to be played on the 27th of July. Well done to all involved. A big thank you to the referees on the day.
