Congratulations to the Elphin Ladies Rounders team, who became the Ulster Provincial Ladies Winners 2025 on Saturday in the Monaghan Centre of Excellence. This is Elphin’s second year in a row to come home with gold. Last year, they won the mixed competition, and this year, they beat Inniskeen from Monaghan in their second Ladies Final in a month. This time, the Elphin ladies came out on top, keeping Inniskeen to a 0 scoreline. Congratulations to Georgina McDermott, who brought home Player of the Match.
Our mixed team also played some excellent Rounders on Saturday, losing out in the quarter-final stages. Well done to both the men and ladies involved in the mixed competition.
Adult Football
Hard luck to our junior team who lost by a point to Clan na nGael on Sunday last in the Orchard. A great game that came right down to the wire.
Elphin/Ballinameen Underage Round-up
Well done to the 21 Under 11 players who travelled to Galway for the Darragh Frain tournament on Saturday. Our two teams played some great football and represented both clubs so well. Thank you to St James GAA Club for the invite and for running an excellent tournament, our coaches, parents and those who came along to this fantastic day out.
Hard luck to our Minor Team who lost out by the narrowest of margins against St Dominic’s in the Division 2 Championship semi-final on Saturday.

The new season is fast approaching, and Elphin will compete in the following categories: Solo singing, recitation, Quiz, Music, Dancing and Ballad Groups. Any club member 16 or younger who is interested in taking part, please contact Michael Gunn on 086 312 2897.
Condolences
Elphin GAA wishes to extend our sincere sympathy to the Beirne family – Caroline, Dillion, Ciaran, Oran, Chloe and extended family on the sad passing of Brian.
