Club News February 17th

Goals from Frankie Cregg and Martin McCaffrey and a penalty save from John Willie Conroy helped the Seniors to a 2-10 to 2-7 win over Oran in the first round of the League.

Best of luck to Shane Killoran and his University of Limerick team-mates against UCD in the Sigerson Cup Semi-Final on Friday.

The Juniors game versus St. Brigids was postponed, they are due to play Kilglass Gaels, away, this Sunday at 12pm.

The Minors began their League campaign with a 2-6 to 0-9 win over Roscommon Gaels. They play Kilmore-Shannon Gaels in Kilmore this Saturday at 4pm.

Unfortunately the U-16’s had to conceded their game to St. Aidans due to low playing numbers.

Players are reminded that they must be Registered before they can play a match. Membership rates for 2016 are as follows and Players will be contacted during the week regarding same: Family (Adults and all School-going children) €100, Adult Player €50, Third Level Player €30, Underage player €20 and non-playing Adult €30.

The Club extends its sympathy to the Meehan and Morris families on the death of Bridget Meehan, the Shannon and Walsh families on the death of Angela Shannon and the West family on the death of Dave West. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha dílis.

Our ABC Programme for Boys and Girls aged between 5 and 8 continues in the Community Centre on Saturday at 10am. The ABC programme is a series of fun based exercises and activities which help to develop Agility, Balance, Coordination, Running, Jumping, Kicking, Throwing, Catching and Striking skills in young children. It is open to all children in the parish and will run for another three weeks.

A reminder that Tickets for the National GAA Draw (Sold and Unsold) must be returned ASAP to Jim McLoughlin, Tamara Beirne, Ignatius Geraghty or Una Killoran in order to be processed and sent to Croke Park. Jim and Ignatius will be in attendance at the ABC programme in the Community Centre on Saturday between 10 and 11am.
