Club News update February 21st

The Juniors began their League campaign with a 0-7 to 0-4 win over Kilglass Gaels on Sunday. Best for Elphin were Joseph Beirne, Gerry Cregg and Martin McCaffrey.

The Minors made it two wins from two by defeating Kilmore-Shannon Gaels on a scoreline of 0-15 to 2-7 thanks to a late scoring spree. They play Tulsk away on Saturday at 4pm.

Well done to everyone who represented the Club in the Scór Sinsear County Finals on Saturday night and congratulations to our Actors and Set Dancers who have qualified for the Connacht Final next month. Thank you to the Community Centre Committee and everyone who assisted in hosting the event.

An important meeting will be held in the Clubrooms on Wednesday at 8pm to update parents and coaches on underage structures for the season ahead.

Players are reminded that they must be Registered before they can play a match.

Membership rates for 2016 are as follows and Players will be contacted during the week regarding same: Family (Adults and all School-going children) €100, Adult Player €50, Third Level Player €30, Underage player €20 and non-playing Adult €30. For further information contact Geraldine O’Connor.

Tickets for the National GAA Draw (Sold and Unsold) must be returned ASAP to Jim McLoughlin, Tamara Beirne, Ignatius Geraghty or Una Killoran in order to be processed and sent to Croke Park.

There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Draw. Numbers drawn were 17, 19, 23 and 24. The Lucky Dip winners were Oisin O’Connor, Kenneth Nerney, Ursula Casserly and Seán Farrell. This week’s Jackpot will be €5,900 and the Draw will take place in The Tower Inn.
