Tickets are on sale now for the annual Club Sponsorship Draw. The winner will get their logo on the front of the Senior Team Jersey and the runner-up will get their logo on the back of the Jersey. All participants will be listed on a sign in The Orchard and on-line. Contact any Club Officer for details.
The Juniors suffered a 1-11 to 2-16 defeat to St Barrys on Sunday afternoon. Elphin put in a spirited display and the sides were level at half-time. St Barry scored a goal from a penalty early in the second half and while our lads never gave up the home side pulled away in the final 10 minutes. Training continues this week, details will be issued via SMS.
Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up
It’s a busy few days for the Elphin-Ballinameen Minors. They host St Ciarans tomorrow (Tuesday) at 7pm in the Orchard and on Saturday they host Kilmore-Shannon Gaels at 5pm.
The U16’s were defeated by Oran on a scoreline of 5-17 to 3-4 and by Padraig Pearses on a scoreline of 5-15 to 2-11.
The U14s lost by Strokestown. They host St Ciarans on Sunday at 11:30am.
The U12 suffered a 0-12 to 0-5 defeat to Kilbride in their opener.
Ladies
Hard luck to the Elphin/Kilmore Under 16 Ladies who were narrowly defeated by Kilbride in the Championship Semi-Final on a scoreline of 2-5 to 1-6.
Easter Hamper Draw
The winner of the Hamper sponsored by the Elphin GAA Social Committee was Nessa Murray.
Scór
Anyone interested in a day trip to the All-Ireland Scór Finals in Belfast on May 6th is asked to contact Micheál Gunn ASAP. The cost of the Bus will be approximately €10 per person.
Elphin GAA Lotto
There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Jackpot. The numbers drawn were 5, 21, 25 and 27. The Lucky Dip winners of €25 were Dermot Neary, Mary Roddy, Helena O’Dowd and Paul McDermott. The Jackpot now stands at €11,700 and this weekend’s Draw will be held in An Bothar Rua. Entry is just €2 and envelopes are available in local shops or you can play now here.
