Club News update June 19th

Roscommon representatives:

Congratulations to Niall Higgins, Coach Peter Carney and the Roscommon U17s and to Fintan Cregg, Shane Killoran and the Seniors on qualifying for next month’s Connacht Finals. Well done also to Sam and Jude O’Rourke who played on the Cumann na mBunscol Team at half-time in the Senior Game, Peadar McCaffrey who performed the National Anthem and Ronan Brady who performed pre-match entertainment. The Roscommon Senior are hosting a “Meet and Greet” for supporters in Ballyleague Wednesday from 6:30pm. It will be followed by an open training session at 8pm and all are welcome.

Elphin B 1-13 St Ronans 2-10:

The Juniors played out an entertaining and sporting draw with St Ronans on Friday night in the Orchard. St Ronans made the better start and held a comfortable lead at the interval. The Elphin lads kept plugging away after the break and eventually took the lead courtesy of a goal from Dylan Beirne. The visitors struck a late equaliser to leave it Elphin B 1-13 St Ronans 2-10. Next up is a Championship Meeting against Oran,on Friday at 8pm in the Orchard.

Elphin-Ballinameen:

Best of luck to the Elphin-Ballinameen U16s who host St Michaels in the Championship on Sunday at 12pm and the U12s who take on St Ciarans in the Shield Final at 12:30pm in Dr Hyde Park. Your support would be appreciated.

Thank you to Kilglass Gaels for hosting the Elphin-Ballinameen U10s in a GoGames Blitz on Saturday morning.

To Ellie Brady and John Finnerty who both finished as runners-up in the Roscommon Primary Schools Football Skills Finals recently.

Elphin-Kilmore Ladies Football:

Commiserations to the Elphin-Kilmore U12 and U14 Ladies Teams on their Semi-Final defeats. The U14’s season has now ended however the U12s have a “B” Final to look forward to this weekend – details tbc.

Kelloggs GAA Cúl Camp:

A Camp will be held in the Orchard from July 10th to 14th. The cost is €60 per child with discounts for the second and subsequent child from the same family. Elphin GAA Lotto:

There was no winner of Saturday’s Club Lotto Jackpot, the numbers drawn were 3, 11, 13 and 26. The Lucky Dip winners of €25 were Gerry Beirne (Scurmore); James Gormley; Padraig Costello; Brian and Patty Watters. This Saturday’s Draw will be held in An Bothar Rua and the Jackpot remains €12,000. Entry is just €2 and envelopes are available in local shops or you can play now here
