Junior B Championship: Elphin defeat Oran
The Junior B Team made it two wins from two in the Championship with a 5-10 to 0-9 win over Oran B in the Orchard on Friday night. The visitors made the better start, and led by four points before we got our first score. A point blank save by John Willie Conroy kept us within touching distance and an outstanding goal from Michael Glancy brought us back into the game. We then kicked on and led by eight points at half-time. We started the second half very well and a number of goals in quick succession effectively killed off the game. Best for Elphin were Ciaran Beirne, Enda Killoran, Paddy O’Connor, Alex Gleeson and Dylan Shanagher on an evening when the whole team performed well.
On Sunday they take on Kilbride B in Round Three at 12pm in Kilglass.
The Seniors host Roscommon Gaels in the League on Friday at 8:00pm.
