Adult Football
Well done to Aaron, Luke and the Roscommon U20s on Saturday evening last as they defeated Galway, they now take on Mayo in the final which will take place in Dr Hyde Park on Sunday at 1pm, before the Senior Connacht final, which throws in at 4pm. The club would like to wish them the very best of luck along with Fintan and Shane and the rest of the U20s and Senior Teams.
The Junior Bs lost out to Padraig Pearses in the league on Sunday last; 3-20 to 1-11. They take on Kilmore on Friday evening next in the Orchard at 8pm in the championship. Please support.
The Seniors are away to St Michaels in the All County Cup on Saturday at 7pm.
Elphin/Ballinameen Round-up
The Elphin Ballinameen U12’s are away to St Michaels on Wednesday evening at 7pm in the Keenan Cup.
Unfortunately the 14 Shield Final was postponed last week due to circumstances beyond our control. It is hoped that this game will be played on Thursday evening next, check here for updates.
Elphin LGFA
Our U12’s won their last group game last weekend against Michael Glaveys. They are now through to the Division 2 County Semi Finals v Roscommon Gaels Wishing them the very best of luck.
Club Rossie
The 2018 Club Rossie annual draw takes place on July 9th. Club Rossie is the main income generator for our county teams and is a vital support to the work been done at all levels in Roscommon GAA. We urge anyone who can to become a member, Gold Membership costs €230 per year & Bronze €100. Membership, which includes entry to the draw, can be purchased/renewed online (www.clubrossie.ie) or by cheque/cash by contacting Eric Murray on 086 8276895 or Coman Brady on 086 6091106. Over the coming days we will be in touch with everyone from the club who purchased tickets last year.
Community Games
Well done to the club members who took part in community games futsal who they are now County champions and go on to represent Roscommon in the Connacht championship in July in Leitrim.
Do you want to get fit?
Did you miss out on the recent GAA Couch 2 5k? Well fear not, the group continues to train. Meeting every Tuesday and Thursday in the Orchard at 8pm. A warm up is completed and then a run 5k or walk whatever you are comfortable with. Newcomers welcome and will help you get started on the road to fitness. You can start by walking and progress at your own pace. We look forward to seeing some new faces, male and female soon.
