Elphin GAA Update March 25th

Elphin Ballinameen Underage Round-up

The Elphin Ballinameen presentation evening for all the Juvenile teams who won last year took place on Saturday evening last in Elphin Community Centre. The U10, U11/12, U14 and U16 teams will be presented their medals. Thank you to Enda and Donie Smith for presenting the medals, Adrian Conroy for organising the event and also thanks to Smith Kelly Scott for sponsoring the medals and refreshments and the people who supplied sandwiches etc. A great evening was had by all.

Well done to Elphin/Ballinameen U14 team who had a good win over Kilglass/ St. Barry’s on Saturday.

Scór Sinsear All-Ireland Final

The club has been granted the “Club Rossie “ bus for upcoming All Ireland Scor Finals which is to be held in castlebar on 13th April. We are honoured to be representing club/county and province in 3 categories. We need to the fill the bus with supporters for this once in a lifetime experience. There will be a small charge per head for bus please contact Eric Murray to reserve your place.

ABC programme

The Agility, Balance and Coordination (ABC) programme continues this Friday the 29th of March from 6:30 – 7:15pm for 4 and 5 year olds and 7:15 – 8:00pm for 6 and 7 year olds in Elphin Community Centre. All children in the parishes are welcome to attend. Club registration also available on the night.

Senior Jersey Sponsor Raffle

Elphin GAA Club would appreciate your support for our annual Senior Sponsor Raffle for 2019. The winner of the raffle will become the Elphin GAA Senior Team Main Sponsor for 2019 with your business name and logo on the front or our senior team jerseys. The runner up will be named as sponsor on the back of our jerseys. Elphin GAA continues to work hard to field competitive teams at both underage and adult grades. Once again this year, we will strive to be involved in the business end of the league and Championship. The lucky winners of the Senior Sponsor Raffle for 2019 will be picked at a draw at our “Senior Sponsor raffle night’’ on Friday April 5th in An Bothar Rua, Elphin at 9pm. All sponsors are most welcome on the night. All businesses/individuals who pay €100 will be included as Associate Sponsors on our Club website (elphingaa.com) and will be acknowledged in an advertising hoarding at Orchard Park.

Adult Football

The senior footballer take on Oran in the league at 2pm in the Orchard on Sunday. Best of luck to team and management.

Elphin LGFA:

After a difficult first round defeat our U16 girls put in a great team effort to win this Div 1 league game v Clan na nGael in a windy but dry Orchard Park. Leading from start to finish the Elphin Kilmore girls held off a strong Clan comeback late in the game to win by 2. Final score 3-04 to 2-05. Next up St.Brigids in Kiltoom Sunday 31st at 4pm.

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of this weeks jackpot. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 12 & 22. The lucky dips winners were Tara Tansey Ballinameen, Pádraig & Kay Flanagan Lishugh, Mick Moran/Paul King and Michael & Moira Burke Kilmore.
