Elphin GAA Update April 1st

Elphin Ballinameen Underage Round-up

Elphin Ballinameen U14s play St. Aidan’s on Saturday next in Ballyfornan at 12pm. Then on Sunday the Minors are away to Padraig Pearses at 11am. Best of luck to teams and management.

Adult Football

Hard luck to the Junior’s who lost to Shannon Gaels on Saturday evening in the Orchard they take on St. Dominic’s next Saturday evening at 6pm in Knockcrockery. The Seniors defeated Oran by 8-14 to 1-8 and they host Strokestown on Sunday at 2pm in the Orchard.

ABC programme

The Agility, Balance and Coordination (ABC) programme continues this Friday the 5th of April from 6:30 – 7:15pm for 4 and 5 year olds and 7:15 – 8:00pm for 6 and 7 year olds in Elphin Community Centre. All children in the parishes are welcome to attend. Club registration also available on the night. This is our final ABC Friday evening in the Hall.

Trip to Scór

The club has been granted the “Club Rossie “ bus for upcoming All Ireland Scor Finals which is to be held in Castlebar on 13th April. We are honoured to be representing club/county and province in 3 categories. We need to the fill the bus with supporters for this once in a lifetime experience. There will be a small charge per head for bus please contact Eric Murray to reserve your place.

Annual Senior Jersey Sponsor Draw

As some of you may know Elphin GAA Senior Team Sponsor Raffle takes place on Friday night April 5th in An Bothar Rua you or your business can be in with a chance to be the main sponsor of our senior team for 2019 for just €100 with your name/business name and logo on the front of our senior team jerseys. The runner up will be named as sponsor on the back of our jerseys.

All businesses/individuals who pay €100 will be included as Associate Sponsors on our Club website (here) and will be acknowledged in an advertising hoarding at Orchard Park. Elphin LGFA:

Best wishes to our two U16 girls Amy and Rachel who are on the county U16 panel that take on Sligo in the Connaught Championship B Final in the Orchard Park on Saturday 6th April at 12 noon.

Our U16’s were defeated by a very tough St. Brigids side Sunday in Kiltoom in their division 1 championship match.
Next game is the rescheduled match V Eire Óg Wednesday evening in Loughglynn, time tbc.

The U12’s face their first opponent’s of the season in their league game V Shannon Gaels on Sunday 7th April at home, time tbc.

U16 training Tuesdays & Fridays at 8pm in Kilmore
U12 training Saturdays at 3.30 in the small Orchard.
U10 & U8 place on Monday’s at 6.30 in the Orchard.

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of this weeks lotto the numbers drawn were 7, 21, 27 & 29. Lucky Dips were John Ames Elphin, Brendan Ryan Rathallen, Brian Carroll Elphin amd James Lynam Ballyfarmon.
