Elphin GAA Update February 24th

The club would like to wish Mick Rock the best of luck in his bid to become GAA President this Friday.

Club Dinner Dance

The club’s dinner dance is taking place on Saturday the 7th of March in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown. Music on the night is by the Heebie Jeebies. There will be a medal presentation to our senior players along with players of the year awards. Tickets are €35 and a great night is guaranteed. Tickets are available from Executive Members, Morris Meats or Eternal Gift Shop.

Ireland lights up has now finished, thanks to anyone who attended and we hope you enjoyed it. Also special thanks to everyone who helped out in anyway.

Adult Football

The Northern Cup replay took place on Sunday morning. Hard luck to the Seniors who lost out on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-8.

Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up

Training for Elphin/Ballinameen U6s starts this Friday evening the 28th from 6:30 until 7:15 in Elphin Community Hall with U8 training from 7:15 until 8:00 on Friday evening also. All new members are welcome to attend.

The Elphin Ballinameen U14’s Division 3 game v Strokestown was rescheduled to be played on Tuesday 25th in Strokestown at 7.30pm. They are also away to Castlerea on Saturday at 1pm. Best of luck to all.

The Minors are playing Strokestown in the Division 2 League in the Orchard at 11am on Sunday.

Hard luck to our U16’s who got beaten in their first game of the league on Sunday last by Oran/St. Croans
