Elphin GAA Update August 17th

Hard luck to the Seniors (1-12 to 3-17) and the Juniors (0-8 to 1-25) who lost their games at the weekend.

Next Sunday the Senior Team will take on Michael Glaveys in the 8th place play-off with the winner qualifying for the quarter finals. The game will be played in Boyle at 4pm. Due to covid 19 restrictions we are again limited to the number of supporters that can attend. In order to give more club supporters an opportunity to attend we are asking that only 2 members of each household enter the draw and also that everyone who enters are over 16. The draw will take place on Friday night and broadcast on facebook.com/ELPHINGAA – the exact time will be announced on the page over the coming days.

Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Update

The Minors lost out to St Ciarans on a score line of 2-11 to 1-5. Hard luck lads.

The U12 Div 2 defeated Western Gaels 25 pts to 9pts. They also played Kilbride in a tough game losing out 15pts to 13pts. The U14’s beat St. Ciarans 4-11 to 4-4

Fixtures
The U16’s are playing Kilbride on Friday at 7pm in the Orchard. There has been changes to a number of other games from earlier listings:

The Div 2 game v Boyle has now been moved to Sunday at 12pm in the Orchard. They also play Clann na nGael on Saturday next in Johnstown at 3pm and not 1pm as per the original fixture.

The Minor game against St Michaels, which was due to on Wednesday, will now be played on Sunday September 6th. Time TBC.

The club would like to wish Ronan Garvin a speedy recovery from an injury he sustained in Minor game last Monday.

Elphin GAA lotto

The Draw will recommence on Saturday 29th of August. Tickets are available to buy in local shops. The Jackpot is €12,000. A special draw will be held on the night with prize fund of €500 for Annual Subscriptions.
