Our senior’s take on St Aidans on Sunday next at 2pm and the Junior’s are away to St Barrys on Friday evening at 8:30pm.

Elphin Ballinameen Underage Round-up

The U12’s Div 2 team commenced their league on Sunday in style and had a very convincing win over Boyle. On Wednesday our Div 5 U12 team play St. Aidan’s in the Orchard at 7.30pm and on Sunday morning they are away to St Barrys at 12:30pm. The Division 2 team host Kilbride on Sunday at 11am in the Orchard.

The U14’s had victory over Castlerea on Tuesday last. The 14’s play Kilmore/Shannon Gaels/St.Ronans on Tuesday evening in the Orchard at 7pm.

The Minors were unlucky to be beaten by Roscommon Gaels by the narrowest of margins 1-8 to 1-7 in the dying seconds of the game when the Gaels scored a goal to win. Up to that point Elphin/Ballinameen had the lead throughout the game on a wet and windy evening. The Minors are in a playoff with Roscommon Gaels tomorrow Tuesday) at 7:30pm in Ballinameen and your support would be appreciated.

The U16s play St Michaels in the League Semi-Final on Friday at 7pm in Strokestown.

Elphin LGFA:

Our U14’s were defeated by Strokestown in their first match of the season last Wednesday in strokestown. They played a powerful first half where they were leading 3-06 to 2-04. Unfortunately for Elphin / Kilmore the second half brought out a stronger Strokestown side winning the game 6-10 to 4-07. Next game away to Michael Glaveys Wednesday at 7pm.

The U16 play Boyle in the League B Final in Kilglass Sunday at 5.45pm.

Our U10’s took to the field in Croke Park on Monday 15th in the LGFA Go Games Activity Day. They played 4 games on the day and did our club proud. The Elphin / Kilmore team were accompanied by Kilbride on the trip as the 2 teams chosen to represent the county on the day, travelling in style on the Club Rossie Bus.

The U12’s defeated St. Michael’s / St. Ronan’s in Ballyfarnon last week while putting on a great display of football. On Sunday they were unlucky against Ballinameen at home. That brings the Northern League to an end with the Summer League starting next week. U12 training has been charged to Monday evenings at 6.30pm in the Orchard.
