Elphin GAA Update February 10th

The defibrillator purchased with the funds raised from the Lip Sync competition held last year has now been installed on the wall of the Clubrooms in the Orchard. Hopefully it will never need to be used! Massive thanks again to everyone who took part in the Lip Sync competition and also everyone who attended!

Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up

Our Underage games for 2020 begin this weekend, we hope it will be as successful a year as last for Elphin/Ballinameen underage teams.
On Saturday 15th February the Under 14s play Strokestown in the Division 3 League at 1pm in the Orchard. The Minor game away to Kilbride in the Division 2 League will now be played on Tuesday 18th in Kilbride at 7pm (Note Change). Please ensure that all players are registered during the coming week. Any un-registered players will not be allowed to play in games.

Club Dinner Dance

The club’s dinner dance is taking place on Saturday the 7th of March in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown. Music on the night is by the Heebie Jeebies. There will be a medal presentation to our senior players along with players of the year awards. Tickets are €35 and a great night is guaranteed. Tickets are available from Executive Members and will also be available to buy this Friday evening in the Club Dressing Rooms from 7-8pm.

The Orchard Lights Up

Do you want to get moving and active this New Year, but you have nowhere to go?
Do you find it hard to find a safe and well-lit area to go a walk during the dark winter months? Well, your local GAA Club has the answer! We’re coming on board with the Operation Transformation and the GAA for Ireland Lights Up. Every Thursday from the 9th January to 26th February The Orchard will be open and lit up for you, your family and friends to come and walk from 7.15pm to 8.30pm. Sign in is required in the old dressing room first and we will all walk, run or waddle together at 7.30pm. We want everyone to come and join for Ireland Lights Up 2020! All are welcome to come to this event.

Gaeltacht 2020

The 2020 Roscommon GAA Gaeltacht Grant Competition is open for entries. There are three grants, each worth €300, up for grabs and Entry Forms and Rules can be downloaded here . The closing date is this, Friday February 14th.

Elphin GAA Lotto

There was no winner of this week’s Lotto Jackpot. The numbers Drawn were 5, 9, 21, 26. The Lucky Dip winners were James Callery, Sean Lenehan, Milo Butler and Paul Hanglow. This week’s jackpot €12,000, the Reserve jackpot increases to €4,300 and the draw will take place in The Tower.
