Elphin-Ballinameen Underage Round-up
The Minors take on Kilbride (tomorrow) Tuesday at 7pm in Kilbride. On Sunday next the U16 Division 2 team play Oran/St.Croans in Oran at 11am. The U14 game was postponed on Saturday due to inclement weather conditions. This game may be played during the week, date time and venue to be confirmed. Adult Football
Our Seniors drew with Strokestown 2-7 to 0-13 in the Northern Cup last Friday night. The replay is due to take place on Sunday, time tbc.
The Orchard Lights Up
Do you want to get moving and active this New Year, but you have nowhere to go?
Do you find it hard to find a safe and well-lit area to go a walk during the dark winter months? Well, your local GAA Club has the answer! We’re coming on board with the Operation Transformation and the GAA for Ireland Lights Up. Every Thursday from the 9th January to 26th February The Orchard will be open and lit up for you, your family and friends to come and walk from 7.15pm to 8.30pm. Sign in is required in the old dressing room first and we will all walk, run or waddle together at 7.30pm. We want everyone to come and join for Ireland Lights Up 2020! All are welcome to come to this event.
Club Dinner Dance
The club’s dinner dance is taking place on Saturday the 7th of March in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown. Music on the night is by the Heebie Jeebies. There will be a medal presentation to our senior players along with players of the year awards. Tickets are €35 and a great night is guaranteed. Tickets are available from Executive Members, Morris Meats or Eternal Gift Shop.
Elphin GAA Lotto
There was no winner of this week’s Lotto Jackpot. The numbers Drawn were 16, 17, 19, 30. The Lucky Dip winners were Michelle Oates /Susie Carroll, Sean Lambert, Peter Scott and Monica Burke. This week’s jackpot €12,000, the Reserve jackpot increases to €4,400 and the draw will take place in The Central Bar.
